(Yigo, Guam) Airport police officer Pan Sa Kim was arrested for inappropriately touching a woman holding her two-year-old child. His offenses include home invasion, criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree, and official misconduct.
According to police spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao, his case was forwarded to the Attorney General's Office for prosecution after he was booked and confined at the Department of Corrections.
The news release from the Guam Police Department reads:
"On January 14, the Guam Police Department entertained a Criminal Sexual Assault complaint involving an Airport Police Officer. The case was forwarded to GPD'S Domestic Assault Response Team for a follow up.
"Preliminary police reports suggest that the victim had filed a family violence complaint with the Guam Airport Police in which [a] suspect was subsequently arrested.
"Later that day, the victim received a text message from Airport Police Officer Pan Sa Kim, [who explained to the victim that he would] bring a phone charger to her.
"While home, the victim noted Officer Kim had arrived in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer. Officer Kim had knocked on the front door and was informed by the victim to hold on.
"Unbeknownst to the victim, officer Kim had entered the home and met with the victim by the bedroom door, which startled the victim.
"While in the home, the victim was carrying her 2-year-old child, and was seated on a chair. "While seated, Officer Kim had inappropriately touched the victim, causing the victim to feel uncomfortable. Officer Kim was then instructed to leave.
"On Tuesday January 21, detectives from DART met with officer Kim relative to the ongoing investigation. Pan Sa Kim was later arrested for the following offenses: Home Invasion// Criminal Sexual Conduct 4th Degree and Official Misconduct. He was later booked and confined at the Department of Corrections."
