Matthew Manibusan will stand trial for the murder of Joshua Meno August 3, 2021, when jury selection begins. Judge Vernon Perez today set the trial date and a July 26 commencement for pre-trial conference in a hearing today.
Mr. Manibusan asserted his right to a speedy trial. His attorney, Jay Arriola, has asked for additional counsel to aid in Mr. Manibusan's defense. He also dropped a request for bail modification.
The attorney general is accusing Manibusan of murdering his neighbor and friend, Joshua Meno, 25, in front of Manibusan's Swamp Road, Dededo home on April 15.
